E. Simms Campbell's iconic 1932 "A Night Club Map of Harlem" illustration captures the electric energy of speakeasies, nightclubs, and legendary entertainers throughout this journal. Campbell's witty imagery includes Cab Calloway at the Cotton Club, Bill "Bojangles" Robinson at the Lafayette Theater, and his favorite hangouts—a celebration of Harlem's golden age that earned him posthumous induction into the Eisner Awards Hall of Fame in 2020.
